Huge Bambi
GALLERY KAWAMATSU, JIMBOCHO, TOKYO, JAPAN
MARCH 2014
After the nuclear disaster in Fukushima, this picture of a radioactive deer got stuck in my head. The deer itself is innocent and unscathed but still it is contaminated. The conflict between the danger of radioactivity and the impossibility of being able to detect this danger, makes Bambi one of my favorite tiles.
Huge thank you goes out to Mr. Kawamatsu, his son Rio Kawamatsu, the Gallery team and my friend Masamichi Tamura, who put so much time and effort into helping me find this wall and making this happen. Thank you so much for everything!
